Saturn, the planetary ruler of Capricorn. Named Cronos in Greek mythology, Saturn was the father of Zeus. Also known as Father Time, Saturn is the planet of discipline and patience. You reap what you sow, Saturn is the Karmic ruler of the zodiac who lords over all that is owed. Debts must be paid and Saturn will see to it. Saturn rewards those who have diligently put in the hard work necessary to fulfill their goals and punishes those who have not learned their lesson. 

Saturn is the planet of form and restriction. It rules over the bones in the body, the structure needed to keep us upright. Saturn is the astrological teacher of the zodiac, he teaches us of our limitations, instructs us in what we need to work on to better ourselves. With that, however, comes a cold lesson for those who do not heed Saturn’s word; the instructor teaches and he tests. Saturn continues to test us throughout our lives, and it is only after we pass those tests are we able to reach the next level. Think of an athlete who puts in hours worth of practice a day, when it comes time to play the game, he will be ready to face the competition. 

Saturn is also known as the Father of our solar system Saturn typically rules the father figure in our lives, the same figure that provides us with structure and discipline.
